Ariya Named Electric SUV of Texas
What’s the Best Electric SUV for 2023?
Though electric vehicles are not necessarily a brand new addition to the automotive market, 9/ electric SUVs are much newer. But considering the popularity of SUV models in the United States, along with the exploding electric vehicle market, we are starting to see several electric SUVs available for sale from multiple brands. There is no doubt that we will see even more in the near future.
Even so, buying an electric SUV (especially for the first time) is a big decision to make. You’ll want to feel confident that you are making the right decision. How do you do that? Well, it’s not easy, but thankfully there are organizations and publications that make it far easier than it could be. One such organization is the Texas Auto Writers Association, or TAWA.
Features and Benefits of the 2023 Nissan Ariya
Now, let’s cut to the chase. TAWA, at their Auto Roundup awards, named the all-new and all-electric 2023 Nissan Ariya the Electric Vehicle of Texas, giving it the top spot against the Ariya’s competitors.

As TAWA’s president, Teia Collier, put it, the Ariya set itself apart from other electric SUVs due to its design, capability, competitive pricing and interior space. Considering the 2023 Ariya is the very first model year of the very first electric SUV the brand has made, this award is certainly impressive.
So, what exactly can you expect from the all-new Ariya? To begin with, the model is available at a starting MSRP of $43,190, though other trim levels are available at higher prices as well. The vehicle features tons of technology, even outside of the electric powertrain, such as wireless Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa integration and a suite of advanced safety systems. Those systems include ProPILOT Assist 2.0.
As for driving distance, no fuel is needed of course, and the Ariya can travel up to 304 miles on a single charge. To put that into perspective for our local customers, that would be like driving from here in Auburn to Spokane and still having some miles to spare. If you would rather trade electric efficiency for a more surefooted ride, you can also opt to get your Ariya with an AWD system rather than the standard FWD. With the Ariya, you have the ability to choose the features that suit you best.
