Making its debut as a concept car at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, we’ve had our eyes on the Nissan Ariya for quite some time. Now more information is available than ever before, including a confirmed model year and rough release date. The 2023 Nissan Ariya is currently taking reservations and will begin shipping across the country sometime in the fall of 2022. But we’ve also learned a ton about its available trim levels, technology & features and its electric powertrain options. Let’s go over everything we know about the Nissan Ariya!

EV Powertrain Options

We thought we’d kick things off by tackling the most exciting and important aspect of the new EV, its all-electric powertrain options. Depending on which trim level shoppers choose, there are two available batteries available with either a single motor or the first-ever e-4ORCE twin-motor all-wheel control option. The standard Ariya features a 66-kWh battery pack, while longer range options offer a 91-kWh battery.

Depending on which trim level you choose, there are five different configurations that determine the power ratings, range and acceleration of the Ariya. Options include ranges of 216, 211, 311, 289 and 304 miles. The available power outputs are 238 horsepower alongside 221 pound-feet of torque or 335 hp and 413 lb-ft., respectively.

Which trim levels are available?

At launch, the 2023 Nissan Ariya will be available in four different trim levels. The base model is called Venture+ and it features the front-wheel drive, single-motor powertrain. It is followed by the Evolve+ and Premiere, each of which also use a single-motor configuration. The top trim level at launch will be the Platinum+, the only model to come standard with the e-4ORCE powertrain that features dual electric motors.

How fast does it charge?

Nissan hasn’t yet released information on how long it will take to charge the Nissan Ariya, but it has given details on different ways that it will help make sure your vehicle remains charged as often as possible. This includes things like allowing you to schedule charging at home from your smartphone and an Intelligent Route Planner that will monitor how much charge you have at a given time and plan your route based on that information.

This information only begins to scratch the surface of everything that the brand-new 2023 Nissan Ariya EV will have to offer, so be sure to reach out with any questions that you might have.
