What is the Nissan Sway? And will we see it in the states?
Innovation is something that comes naturally to Nissan. The brand has never had an issue exciting consumers with its new designs and concepts. And speaking of concepts – there aren’t too many brands that have brought their concepts to life like Nissan. Just look at the Nissan JUKE. What was once considered an “out there” concept quickly became a reality. Nissan is hoping that lightning strikes again with its new “Sway” concept that is expected to be unveiled next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
When will the Nissan Sway be unveiled?
As for when the Nissan Sway will be unveiled – the exact time that Nissan has tentatively listed is March 3 at 11:30 a.m. As for what the Nissan Sway is, we’re not exactly sure. But we can tell you that it is intended for a European audience – at least for now. Using the same radical design that made the JUKE and Qashqai famous, the Sway is set to revolutionize the popular small hatchback segment in Europe.
Will the Nissan Sway come to the United States?
But given Nissan’s history, who’s to say that we won’t see the Nissan Sway in the United States some day? At the very least, it seems reasonable that a relevant equivalent to the model could be found on this side of the pond. After all, don’t American appreciate small hatchbacks as well? We have things to carry – and fuel mileage continues to be a big factor for consumers here as well.
We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for the Nissan Sway. Until the March 3 unveiling, we’ll have to settle for the image you see above. But after that, we’ll have to watch and see if any version of this concept begins to conceptualize for American release.
