In a crowded segment, the Rogue is the tech geek (and it’s a good thing)
The technology available in vehicles these days is truly a sight to behold. But often, technology is moving so fast that it is a work in progress when it reaches the vehicle, as the manufacturer is always scrambling to make sure the most up-to-date systems are in a vehicle before it is released. So what the consumer gets in the end can often be a mixed bag. One vehicle that this is not the case with is the Nissan Rogue. The new Rogue is truly ahead of its time in the technology segment. Let’s take a look at the technology available on the new Nissan Rogue.
Technology available on the new Nissan Rogue
Navigation
The first thing that many people use when experimenting with their new vehicle’s technology systems is navigation. These systems are often pretty intuitive and most people have used some sort of navigation. The 2014 Rogue navigation system support Google local search. This is a key element that sets it apart. This basically means that you can be anywhere and you can pull up where the nearest gas station, restaurant or other attraction is easily – and then the system will help you navigate to it.
Surround-View
More than just a standard backup camera, the Surround-View system in the Rogue allows for safe and precise parking. Not only can you see what is behind you, but also exactly how far away the tires are from the curb and other obstacles. You can even activate it when going forward at slow speeds – this comes in handy when lining things up for a parallel parking job.
LED Headlights
You might not think about headlights anymore – but when you drive a car at night that has a really good set, you know it. These LED headlights offer the best illumination you are going to get, which really makes a big difference and provides for safe ride.
Blind Spot Monitor
In the old days, you were just on your own when it came to the blind spot. While you should still be checking it manually, having a system that alerts you when something is there is a great safety net.
While these are just a few of the many technology offerings on the new Rogue – they are some that we feel truly sets it apart. See all of the technology available on the new Nissan Rogue right here at Nissan of Auburn.
