Singing driver makes Nissan “lift” more enjoyable
In the Seattle area – or any big city – it’s become more popular to use a ride service to get where you need to go. But when using either Uber or Lyft, you never really know what you are going to get for a driver. So Nissan thought it would show the reactions of people that got a driver that was a little more outgoing than the rest. The result is an interesting test of personality – and could be the difference of people that take advantage of rideshare services and those that don’t.
The Lyft service made riding in the Nissan Sentra more than your typical experience, as the driver began belting out “Mony Mony” – a song that everyone knows. A lot of people decided to sing along to the tune.
It’s an interesting experiment that was a partnership between Nissan and Lyft. Since many of the people using these apps are young, it made sense that they would be into it. But we couldn’t see a traditional cab user that may not be considered one of the young crowd really being as interested. In fact, it might be the last time they use this non-traditional service.
So while there is still a need for traditional cabs, it’s nice to know that there is a different option out there. And here in the Seattle area – we love our rideshare. Of course, we also love driving our Nissans around. But if you are interested in being a Lyft or Uber driver, you need a newer car – and Nissans have shown to be popular with users.
