safeNissan Announces Pricing and Features for 2018 Altima

Pricing and features for the new 2018 Nissan Altima were announced recently. The Altima’s pricing and available packages are looking quite impressive. The new 2018 Altima has a beautiful new body style with a much larger front fascia and asymmetrical headlights and taillights. The grill on the new Nissan Altima is also much larger giving the Altima a sporty appeal. The 2018 Nissan Altima will start at a base MSRP of $23,140 (ex. VIN #JC100860).

Base models will come standard with a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 179 horsepower. The SL trim option will offer an available 3.5-liter DOHC V6 that produces 270-horsepower.  Both engines come standard with an Xtronic transmission and enhanced third-generation D-Step Shift logic.

Premium Interior

Nissan Altima’s premium interior design comes with NASA-inspired Zero Gravity front seats. NASA ran experiments on natural spinal position to determine where the stress on our bones and joints would be at their lowest. NASA found that in a zero gravity environment the body will enter this natural spinal state making the body less likely to become fatigued. Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats were designed based on these scientific findings. The shape of the seat simulates a natural resting spinal position which reduces the overall stress on the body. The Zero Gravity seat is designed to support the lumbar, shoulders, and back, at 14 different points. This holds your body in a neutral position to promote blood flow and reduce muscle fatigue giving you the most comfortable drive possible.

Affordable and High-Tech

Also available in 2018 Nissan Altima is the 7.0-inch color audio display and Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant. Standard on Altima 3.5 SL and optional on 2.5 models is NissanConnect with Navigation featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. NissanConnect Services Powered by SiriusXM are also available options on all 2018 Nissan Altimas.

The insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the Nissan Altima Top Safety Pick+ for its outstanding crash tests and available safety features. Standard on the 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, and 3.5 SL, the Nissan Altima offers Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (I-FCW), radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and an available Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) option on select models.

SR Sports Package

The Altima SR trim will round out the 2018 Altima lineup offering unique styling that gives the Altima a much sportier appearance. The 2.5 SR will come with smoked headlight and taillight housings, daytime running lights, fog lights, rear spoiler, an 8-way power driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar support, manual mode Xtronic transmission with paddle shifters, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, unique sport interior accents, sport-tuned suspension, and 18-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels.
