Nissan Altima poses as race car

Four-door sedans just have a certain stigma surrounding them. It really isn’t their fault – history has dictated a certain path for these vehicles. But the 2014 Nissan Altima doesn’t follow that trend that leans toward the boring side of the spectrum. But how do you break the stereotype with consumers? Well, Nissan came up with a pretty intriguing way to do just that. The Nissan Altima ‘Ride of Your Life’ campaign is shedding some new light on what the Altima truly brings to the table.

Fitted only with its standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a standard four-door Nissan Altima is being dressed up like a race car. With a professional driver behind the wheel, unsuspecting people are then set into the passenger seat of the “Nissan Altima race car” and strapped in to provide a true race car feel. They are then taken around a test course, showcasing the speed and agility of the Altima. The reactions are priceless, and the entire group finds it to be an exhilarating experience. But remember, the cars aren’t actually race cars…

Once the decals, wing and interior are stripped away, the participants are left speechless. Needless to say, the preconceived notions about four-door sedans are shattered. We’re willing to bet that more than a few of these participants seriously considered getting the Nissan Altima for themselves shortly after this. None of them could have imagined that the Altima could actually provide the “Ride of Your Life.”

Now you know, you don’t have to be selected to take a professional race test drive to experience this kind of vehicle performance. In fact, you can just take a test drive of a Nissan Altima right here near Seattle WA. We’ll set you up with your own Nissan Altima ‘Ride of Your Life’ right here at Nissan of Auburn.
