It's Football Season: The 4 Best Nissans for Tailgating
Football season is here, and tailgating is a necessity for even minor college and pro football fans. So how do you have the perfect tailgate? Most of the answer lies in the vehicle you drive into the parking lot. If you’re looking to become the center of attention and entertain your friends and foes for your next tailgate, check out these Nissans.
Nissan Armada LE
The Nissan Armada LE is the quintessential vehicle for a memorable tailgate. The Armada has room for up to eight adults, so you can bring a pack of friends with you to the game. Even if you don’t have eight people coming with you, the Armada boasts 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third-row seats — or 97 cubic feet with the second and third-row seats folded — giving you plenty of room for food, games, and beer. In addition, this SUV has three separate 12-volt outlets for anything you wish to plug in, as well as a Bose sound system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer to get the party rocking.
A relatively new addition to the truck market, the Nissan Titan lacks nothing for even the most hardcore tailgater. The bed is a whopping 79 inches long and 63 inches wide, capable of handling just about anything you want to bring. The Titan also has an optional King Cab featuring rear doors that open 168 degrees, making packing people or stuff a cinch. Even if you opt for the standard Crew Cab, you’ll still have the ability to fit six people comfortably for a road trip to the stadium.
Although the Pathfinder is smaller than its sibling, the Armada, it still gets the job done for a tailgate. With a tow package, it’s capable of handling up to a 5,000-pound trailer, RV, boat, or other car, depending on how crazy your tailgate parties are. It also has room for up to seven people thanks to its EZ Flex Seating System featuring Latch and Glide technology. Like the Armada, it also has two or four 12-volt outlets, depending on the trim level. For music lovers, it has a six-speaker audio system, complete with auxiliary jacks for your tablet or smartphone.
What the Cube lacks in size, it makes up for in great features and a surprising amount of interior room. The Cube offers 11.4 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats up, but when the seats are down, it has a remarkable 58.1 cubic feet of space to pack in all of your tailgating essentials. The center console contains a multi-functional trip computer to help you find the stadium if you’re traveling out of town, and boasts a six-speaker AM/FM/CD player audio system with auxiliary jacks and a dock for your iPod.
Regardless of whether you’re traveling across the country or going to a tailgate in your own backyard, Nissan has the perfect tailgating vehicle to fit your needs. The only problem you’ll have is making sure that your team wins the big game.
