nissanYou’ve decided to make the switch to the all-electric Nissan LEAF, but your decisions aren’t over yet. Now it’s time to choose among the three trim levels.

Nissan LEAF S

The Nissan LEAF S is the basic LEAF model and has an MSRP of $30,680. It comes standard with a 30-kilowatt lithium-ion battery that powers an 80-kilowatt AC synchronous electric motor and can give you a range of up to 107-miles.

Thanks to the 100 percent electric engine, the LEAF S doesn’t have a tailpipe. This means it doesn’t release and CO2 emissions into the air.

The LEAF S also has a regenerative braking system that captures energy whenever you are coasting or hitting the brakes. It then recycles that energy back to the power supply.

Even though the LEAF S is the basic trim level, it still comes standard with plenty of technology and interior luxury. It has the Nissan Intelligent Key, which allows you to open the charge door with the touch of a button, as well as lock and unlock your doors and start the engine without taking the keys out of your pocket.

Nissan LEAF SV

The LEAF SV has a few more upgrades than the LEAF S, with an MSRP of $34,200. It offers drivers the same drivetrain as the LEAF S, along with a 6.6-kilowatt onboard charger which fully charges your Nissan LEAF in six hours.

Inside the Nissan LEAF SV, you’ll find stylish, comfortable, and modern seats that are made with completely sustainable Bio Suede PET cloth. The LEAF SV also comes standard with the NissanConnect infotainment system. Navigate to nearby charge stations, wirelessly connect your phone, and switch radio stations without ever taking your hands off the steering wheel.

The LEAF SV has several safety features that come standard, including a traction control system, anti-lock braking system, and a stability control system that constantly monitors your steering and braking and compares them to the vehicle’s motion. If the system thinks you are oversteering or understeering, it reduces the motor speed and applies the brakes to specific wheels. All this works together to keep the vehicle on its path.

Nissan LEAF SL

The LEAF SL is the top trim level and has an MSRP of $36,790. The Nissan LEAF has all the features of the LEAF SV, as well as several more upgrades. There is a quick charge port that enables you to charge the Nissan LEAF in less than 30 minutes.

Both the interior and exterior of the LEAF SL have plenty of luxury upgrades. There are leather-appointed, heated front and rear seats so everyone in the vehicle can travel in comfort and style. The SL has 17-inch, five-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels. It also has LED low-beam headlights that use less energy than regular headlights and are designed to reduce noise and drag by redirecting airflow away from the side mirrors.

The Nissan LEAF has tons of options, so whether you’re interested in the luxury of the SL, the basic S, or something in between, you’re sure to walk away with the LEAF that best suits your lifestyle.
