Car at the end of the Nissan Super Bowl commercial

As we were wiping the tears away from our faces during the Nissan Super Bowl commercial, we noticed something pretty monumental at the end. Like many others, we found ourselves saying, “What was that car at the end of the Nissan Super Bowl commercial?” Thankfully, DVR gave us an opportunity to go back and look. Being that we are continually around the Nissan brand, we instantly recognized the car in question. Nissan had used the biggest stage to roll out a car we’ve all been waiting to see – the 2016 Nissan Maxima.

While there still isn’t much known about the new Maxima, it’s pretty clear from the commercial alone that the vehicle is getting an entirely new style. Of course, Nissan is saving the details for the official unveiling that will be held in April at the New York International Auto Show. At the show, we will get the full set of images released, as well as details on what is being upgraded on the new Maxima.

From the look that we got during the commercial, we can see that the car has some impressive new design elements, including the V-motion grille that is becoming a Nissan trademark. In addition, it will have what the brand calls a “floating” roof. This is similar to what we saw on the new 2015 Nissan Murano.

We may have to wait for all of the details on the new Maxima. But until then, we can further examine the end of the Nissan Super Bowl commercial. If you haven’t seen the commercial – check it out below. But make sure to have a tissue in hand.
