Some of the best family vehicles come from Nissan
Best Family Vehicles of 2014
When you start a family, your vehicle needs instantly change. You start looking at safety features like never before, and suddenly every cubic foot of available passenger and cargo space becomes important. Here at Nissan of Auburn, we are proud to offer some great family options to our customers. Three of the vehicles on our lot were actually selected as the best family vehicles of 2014. Nissan actually filled up a quarter of the list, proving that the company is truly doing things right for families.
The Nissan Rogue, Altima and Pathfinder all were named among the 12 Best Family Cars by Kelley Blue Book. Needless to say, we weren’t surprised. While it’s nice to have the recognition tied to each vehicle, we already knew that they were some of the best family vehicles for 2014. Let’s break down why each vehicle is so ideal for families.
The Rogue was completely restyled for the 2014 model year. The biggest part of this for families might be the addition of a third-row seat. This is in addition to the Drive-N-Hide cargo system that is featured on the models with just two rows. This makes the Rogue ideal for families that need cargo space, passengers space – or both. And for those with babies, it should be noted that the Rogue was applauded for how easily it fit a rear-facing child seat.
The Altima scored well on several fronts in the Kelley Blue Book report. It was noted for roominess, a high level of comfort, and overall substance. It was also noted for being well suited for small children, as installing booster seats was a breeze. Not all cars are ideal for small children, but the Altima appears to be the exception.
The Pathfinder was lauded as an ideal vehicle for families, getting it just right with cargo space and performance. Nissan went to great lengths to make the vehicle work for families, with an EZ Flex Seating System with Latch and Glide, allowing the Pathfinder to essentially morph into what families need it to be.
