5 Fun Local Events Around Auburn, WA

Summer isevent our favorite season in Washington. Why? While every season in Washington provides unique festivals and fun events for the whole family, summer time has some great events and activities for outdoor family fun. From celebrating local culture to holidays and everything in between, this summer, spice up those sunny, warm days with some of the following summer time events and festivals.

Event #1: Auburn International Farmers Markets

Located at the Auburn Sound Transit Plaza, join us during the entire month of June for one of the best farmer’s markets in the area. Featuring crafts, locally grown produce, and food vendors, this is the best place to get fresh food. Here you can also listen and dance to international, national, regional, and local musicians. Auburn’s Farmers Market also has cooking and canning demonstrations so you can brush up on your skills.

Event #2: Kids Day Festival

On June 23, gather the whole family for a day of fun. Located in Les Gove Park, this is the perfect way to celebrate summer. Featuring live entertainment, inflatable rides, face painting, crafts, miniature golf, hands-on art display, and over one hundred other activities. There are also plenty of food vendors, making this a great festival to spend a few hours or even the entire day.

Event #3: 4th of July Festival

There’s no better celebration than the one held at Les Gove Park! Starting at 10 a.m., you can watch a bike parade, listen to various entertainment on two stages, view over 50 artists in an arts and crafts area, see a car show, and much more. This event also has plenty of kid’s activities, including inflatable rides and a trampoline. So what are you waiting for? Come celebrate our country’s birthday with your fellow neighbors.

Event #4: Soundbites! Concert Series

Being Auburn’s newest concert series, Soundbites is a lively, eclectic concert series that will not only quench your ears, but also your appetite. Every Thursday in July and August, enjoy your lunch as you listen to some great music from local artists at this free outdoor concert. Featuring a variety of musical genres from old school funk to smooth jazz to rock & roll and everything in between, this musical series definitely won’t disappoint.

Event #5: Summer Sounds & Cinema Event Series

On select Friday’s in July and August, different local parks feature live entertainment and blockbuster movies. All three events will feature food concessions from local food trucks, inflatable rides, and ArtRageous hands-on art activity. Plus, since all entertainment and movies are family and pet-friendly, we urge you to kick off your weekends at the Summer Sounds & Cinema event.
