2016 Nissan Titan XD specs impress at Detroit debut
It’s safe to say that we were really excited about the unveiling of the 2016 Nissan Titan at the Detroit Auto Show this year. We’ve been hearing about the truck for some time, with much of the conversation being centered around the new Cummins diesel engine that will be an option. Nissan chose to only show off the Nissan Titan XD at the show, but thankfully it did feature the 5.0 Cummins diesel.
2016 Nissan Titan XD Specs
The Nissan brass really knows how to keep us wanting more, as the Nissan Titan XD reveal was cool, but we really wanted to get the full details on all of the Titan models. But the XD might just be intriguing enough to hold us over for now. And when we got a look at the 2016 Nissan Titan XD specs, we were sold.
As we have known for some time, the new 2016 Nissan Titan would include a completely new design. The truck has a very confident new stance, and sleek body lines down the sides. But most obvious might be the new front end, that includes a mesh grille and redesigned headlights. The full package really comes together to make a truck that consumers really want to buy.
The stats on the Titan XD are certainly interesting as well. With the 5.0-liter Cummins diesel under the hood, it will be capable of output of 310 horsepower and an amazing 555 lb-ft of torque. It will be able to tow up to 12,000 pounds and has a payload capacity of 2,000 pounds.
These figures put it in a sort of middle ground of trucks. While many of the light duty trucks carry a 1500 label, the Titan XD specs would place it around a 2000. Most trucks jump from 1500 to 2500, so it appears Nissan has essentially created its own segment with this one.
If you want to be one of the first people to own the new Titan, get in touch with us here at Nissan of Auburn. Being a premier Nissan dealer, we should be able to get our hands on it early.
