New 2015 370Z reveal surprises the Nissan faithful

We love surprises from Nissan. The brand is always cooking up something new, so when a surprise announcement comes along, we are more than willing to see what it’s all about. This is why we were so excited about the recent reveal of the Nissan 370Z Nismo. This upper level sports car carries some surprises of its own – and it was all revealed for the first time at the North Carolina “ZDAYZ” event.

Of course, as soon as the reveal happens, focus quickly turns to when we can expect the vehicle to actually be available. And we actually found some answers as to when the 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo release date would be as the company stated that it would come to dealers in July of 2014 – meaning it’s just over a month out.

But what can we expect from this version of the Nissan 370Z Nismo? Obviously, it will still be a performance-first vehicle. But there is the potential to attract more drivers, as a seven-speed automatic transmission will be added to the fold for those drivers that don’t know how to drive a stick-shift. The six-speed manual will still be the standard for the car, but it’s good to know that there are options for some.

The design of the car will be improved, as the 370Z Nismo will be very GT-R inspired. This means a new front fascia, blacked-out headlights, a new spoiler, red accents on the entire car and hot 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. Inside, there are Recaro seats with detailed trim. You can decide, but we think this new version is a more-than-adequate addition to the 370Z Nismo lineup.
