The Sentra keeps getting better with age
For many years, the Nissan Sentra has been a solid pick in the small sedan market. Now entering the seventh generation, the Sentra might just be ready to show off its most impressive version yet. Yes, the 2014 Nissan Sentra is sure to impress with some updates that not only keep it up with the times – but ahead in the segment. Let’s take a look at some of the 2014 Nissan Sentra changes that Nissan has implemented.
The first aspect we want to focus on is the occupant experience. The new Nissan Sentra will provide a quieter cabin with reduced engine noise thanks to better insulation in the body as well as improved seals. The engine mount layout was also refined, creating a more peaceful driving experience in the Sentra. Staying on the comfort theme, the new Sentra will also feature improved body motion control that keeps the driver and passengers in place, as they don’t even notice the tight turns.
The ride dynamics have changed as well, with the new Sentra getting better acceleration thanks to the Xtronic CVT being tuned. This provides a responsive feel to the car with acceleration being on-point. The steering is also more responsive, with a quicker steering ratio being implemented on the vehicle. The Electronic Power Steering has also been improved.
So basically, the car has been made more responsive and more comfortable. Not bad considering the Sentra was already one of our favorite small vehicles. But we know Nissan, and they are never going to settle for good enough. The continuous improvement of the brand is part of what sets it apart from the others on the market.
Just take a look at the vehicles we have on the lot at Rairdon’s Nissan of Auburn. We are constantly impressed with what Nissan brings to the table year after year.
