Embracing the Japanese term iki, which characterizes the Ariya’s chic, cutting-edge nature, the seamless, elegant and fresh front is highlighted by a reimagined, aerodynamic grille called the shield for the EV era. The shield incorporates a 3-D traditional Japanese kumiko pattern just under the smooth surface. The design is also functional, protecting sensors used for driver assistance operations. Nissan’s redesigned brand logo at the center of the aerodynamic shield backed by subtle LED lighting that illuminates when the Ariya is ready for operation.

A single, uninterrupted horizon line stretches across the side profile, connecting the front fascia and the rear. The rear of Ariya is equally eye-catching.The steep C-pillar blends flawlessly into the rear deck. A one-piece light blade makes up the rear combination lamps, and has been engineered to give a blackout effect when parked and a consistent red illumination, day or night, when in use. Rear fender flares and a high-mounted rear wing give Ariya a powerful visage.

The striking Ariya interior is defined by the Japanese term “ma” – referring to its spatiotemporal qualities of belonging to both space and time. Ariya’s minimalist instrument panel, devoid of buttons and switches found in conventional vehicles, blends seamlessly with the shape of the cabin and leads into the doors drawing the eye across the front of the vehicle. The climate controls are integrated into the wooden center dash in the form of capacitive haptic switches that vibrating when touched to give the operator the sensation of a mechanical switch.

The center of the instrument panel houses an available innovative center storage box and disguised fold-out tray.
